Some wedding days are grand. Some are elaborate. And some are pure, simple magic.

Under the warm summer sun, tucked in a quiet field framed by towering trees, two of the sweetest humans promised forever to each other. From the moment I arrived, it was obvious: these two were in it (love) fully, openly, wholeheartedly.

Every time the groom looked at his bride, it felt like the whole world paused. His emotion was palpable.

They didn’t need posing or prompting. Photographing them felt less like directing and more like witnessing. It was truly something special to be apart of.

Right before the ceremony, the bride realized she had forgotten her bouquet. Instead of panicking, we turned it into one of my favorite moments of the entire day. I suggested we gather wildflowers from the field, and her friends jumped in immediately to help, laughing, picking stems, weaving together something beautifully imperfect.

As a photographer, some elopements stay with you long after you pack up your gear. This was one of them. Sweet, emotional, effortless, and overflowing with genuine connection.

I left with a full heart and the kind of gratitude that reminds me why I do this work. As for Abigail and Drue, I wish them the best of luck in their marriage, something tells me they won’t need it, they seem built for this ride…made for eachother.
