Some summer wedding days feel like they carry their own kind of glow, not just from the sun, but from the people, the stories, and the love that gathers around a couple. Kailey and Braden’s August wedding in Pierre, South Dakota was exactly that kind of day.
The heat settled in early, the kind that makes the sky look extra blue and the grass extra green. We spent the afternoon taking portraits overlooking the South Dakota State Capitol, its dome rising behind them like a quiet witness to the beginning of their marriage. Even in the August warmth, Kailey and Braden were steady, joyful, and completely themselves. They are the kind of couple who laughs easily and holds each other with a softness that’s impossible to miss.
The day progressed with an intimate ceremony revolving around family, loved and commitment to each other and a greater good. The celebration that followed was easy and fun, full of laughter, joy and dancing for the young and old alike.
