Some weddings hit a little closer to home.
I've known Jess since we were kids, so standing behind the camera as she married Dylan was an incredible honor. Watching their family become one, with all three children playing such meaningful roles throughout the day, made for an emotional ceremony that had me wiping away tears while photographing.
Good Earth Farm provided the most beautiful backdrop for a fall wedding. Storm clouds, light mist and rolling green fields. Adding to the charm of the day were the farm's resident animals, who seemed determined to be part of the celebration. Chickens wandered nearby, animals roamed the property, and at one point a curious pig stopped by for an unforgettable photo opportunity that had everyone laughing. The ceremony and reception were both held inside the farm's gorgeous barn, a warm and inviting space filled with family, friends, laughter, and more than a few happy tears.
What I'll remember most, though, isn't the weather, the barn, or even the beautiful details.
It's Jess and Dylan.
They're simply two genuinely good people who found each other and built something beautiful together. Every interaction, every glance, every embrace throughout the day reflected the deep love and respect they share, not only for each other but for their children as well.
It was a wedding filled with laughter, emotion, and the kind of moments that remind us what marriage is really about. Family. Commitment. Choosing one another every day.
Photographing this wedding was a privilege. Photographing it for someone who's been part of my life for so many years made it unforgettable.
Jess and Dylan, thank you for trusting me with these memories. Your day was beautiful, your family is beautiful, and I feel incredibly lucky to have witnessed it all.
Congratulations to all five of you.
